A new music video from The Black Eyed Peas.
Not the best video but it's new:)
I enjoy the music produced by The Black Eyed Peas.
The songs they sing.
The Beats.
Blasting their songs 24/7
Some histories.
They used to be more of a b-boy style. They do breakdancing. Apl.de.ap show a little of his thing in the new music video too.
Back in the days when they sing for the sake of bringing the old school stlye out.
Memorable.
I'll start with their third album Elephunk released on June 24, 2003.
Also the first album when Fergie came into the band after The Black Eyed Peas produced two albums.
I was at primary school Standard 3 and their music started getting famous when I was near Standard 4.
Their hits were so famous that you can hear them everywhere.
Radio, MTV, Shops, Houses, Streets.
No kidding.
Some even used their songs to dance.
Some songs are so enjoyable like 'Where Is The Love?' which topped the singles charts of over ten countries.
Some gives you a mood for dancing like Let's Get It Started.
If you listen even a little bit of the radio, you will know these song because they were
GREAT HITS.
Like the title of their album Elephunk, they were all about getting funky.
Commercial Response from Wikipedia:
'In the United States, Elephunk reached number 14 on the Billboard Top 200 and is their first album to chart in the top 15. It gained even more commercial success in the UK Album Charts where it reached number 3. It has sold over 1.6 million copies in the UK and 8.5 million copies worldwide.[17] The singles Where Is The Love? andShut Up reached number 1. Hey Mama has been used for several advertisements including advertisements forApple and iTunes. Let's Get It Started also received universal acclaim in the media section where a cover version of the song appears in the film Hot Tub Time Machine[18] After the success of Elephunk, the Peas were approached by EA games to feature some of their music on the 2004 game The Urbz. They remixed some of the tracks on Elephunk and translated it into Simlish and created new tracks for the game. They also feature in the game as playable characters[19]'
Then came their new album Monkey Business released on
May 27, 2005. They already have such a good reputation.
They were still keeping that old school beat on and of course it was awesome.
The album was certified three times Platinum by RIAA in the U.S. and has sold over 10 milion copies worldwide.
Even I bought this album:)
More of their songs from this album were heard EVERYWHERE.
Songs like Pump It, Don't Phunk With My Heart, My Hump were the most popular.
They Don't Want Music is heard in many b-boy battles even till now.
I myself can sing all the songs in this album without reading the lyrics because from 2005 till now, I still blast their songs.
My favourite songs from this album are all the above, Don't Lie and Gone Going.
They started featuring more other artists like Justin Timberlake, Cee-Lo, John Legend, Jack Johnson, James Brown, Sting and more in this album.
They came back on 2009 with their fifth album, The E.N.D. (abbreviation of The Energy Never Dies) released on June 3.
They bought a whole new feeling in the songs and critics described the album as containing more anthemic and inspiriational songs in the group's bid to appeal to a new generation of music listeners.
To me, new or old songs from them sounds fine.
I love the song 'I Gotta Feeling' from this album very much.
It was such a hit that when you sing 'I Gotta Feeling', your friends will go 'WooHoo'.
LOL
Alive, Missing You and Party All The Time were my favourites from this album too.
Track 13 of The E.N.D. , 'Now Generation' states that it's a new generation, and things have changed. Of course so did their tracks;)
I was surprised of how; hardworking, they were when they released they newest album so far, The Begining on November 9, 2010, a year after their fifth album The E.N.D.
As expected, The Black Eyed Peas continued producing song of the so called 'new generation' with beats for clubs and they used very much Auto-Tune in their tracks.
Some songs have their voices like Robots, sometimes extremely high and sometimes very low.
I continue to enjoy the songs from them even till now because I think we need to move up to the 'new generation' too.
My favourite tracks from The Begining are Just Can't Get Enough, Someday, Don't Stop The Party, Fashion Beats, well, all the songs-.-
This album comes in two colours; black, like the picture above and the other is white.
Commercial Performance from Wikipedia:
The album debuted at number six on the Billboard 200 chart, with first-week sales of 119,000 copies in the United States.[19] It is their third album to chart inside the top ten, but their lowest charting album since Elephunk, which peaked at number 14 in 2003. As of May 2011, the album had sold over 648,700 copies in the United States.[20]
In the United Kingdom, the album debuted at number 17 selling 34,006 copies. Usually, selling over 30,000 copies is enough to get an album into the top 10. However, due to the usual strong competition in the autumn, it failed to debut in the top 10. After a performance on The X Factor on December 5, 2010, the album rose eight places to number nine and since spent three weeks in the top ten. In Canada, it debuted at number two selling 27,400 copies in its first week, being kept of the top spot by a margin of 200 copies behind Susan Boyle's The Gift.[21] The album debuted at number one in France, selling 35,653 copies in its first week.[22] It is The Black Eyed Peas' third consecutive number-one album in the country.
In Germany, the album debuted at number five and started to slowly fall down. In its third week, the album was at No. 9 but could jump to No. 7 the following week. Following the success of the single "The Time (Dirty Bit)", the album rose from No. 7 to No. 2 in its fifth week, the album's peak position.[23][24]
I think I prefer the old school hip hop music The Black Eyed Peas used to produce but I also enjoy the new music from them.
Therefore, there it is, the new music video from them.
Enjoy.
